Bailey J. Zickefoose, 81, a resident of HC 36, Box 195, Tallmansville, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at Tallmansville. He was born Aug. 16, 1923, at Queens, a son of the late Parley Bill Zickefoose and Carrie Bailey Zickefoose. On March 20, 1948, he was united in marriage to Genevieve Kirby Zickefoose, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Debra Kay Zickefoose and Gary Hull of Abbott and Kathy Crites and husband, Kirk, of Buckhannon; two sons, Bailey Zickefoose Jr. and Cindy Swecker of Mill Creek and Gregory Zickefoose and wife, Carrie, of Queens; two granddaughters, Gina Brown and husband, Mike, and Amanda Hunt; five grandsons, Jerry Alan Zickefoose and wife, Jodi, Michael Hunt, Ryan Zickefoose, Joshua Zickefoose and Chad Zickefoose; two great-granddaughters, Destiny Brown and Bethany Brown; two great-grandsons, Christian Brown and Bryce Moran; two brothers Orvil "Pete" Zickefoose of Buckhannon and Ronald Zickefoose of Ohio; and three sisters, Myrtle Zickefoose, Norma Jean Gary and Letha Reed, all of Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
He was the owner of Bailey Zickefoose Lumber Co. He was a Methodist by faith and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3663 and American Legion Post 7.
