Christopher Allen Lowery of Purdon went home with the angels Feb. 1, 2009, after an exhausting battle of cancer. He was born Feb. 5, 1969. He was a hero to many as he was the hardest worker one could find. He was always trying to help those in need. He would want to thank Dr. Orr for the great man he is and all the treatment he gave with such care.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Sue OfPry of Purdon. He was her life. They were always close in heart, and that closeness shall always remain. He is also survived by Diane Johnson, the love of his life, best friend, and mother of three of four children: Christopher Garretson, 22, Justin Garretson, 21, and Cody Allen Lowery, 15, of Purdon; his youngest son, Ethan Anthony Lowery, and his mother, Kim Lusk, of Corsicana; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, great-cousins, friends, and special friend Jim Howell. The family sends a special thanks to Jonny Pritchett of Boise, Idaho, which grew up more as brothers rather than cousins.

There will be a memorial service held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at his motherfs residence in Purdon with evangelist and close friend James Murphy presiding at the service. Family and friends are welcome.
