Jeanette M. Wenzel, age 72, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Timothy Wenzel and Fr. Mark Innocenti concelebrating.
Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery
Visitation will be held from 4:00 â€" 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 16th and 9:00 â€" 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 17th at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service (West Chapel) in Little Falls, MN. There will be a Christian Mother’s Rosary at 4:30pm Wednesday at the funeral home followed by parish prayers at 7:00 P.M.
Jeanette Mary Lampert was born on May 4, 1935 in Little Falls, Minnesota the daughter of Roman and Elizabeth (Maciej) Lampert. Jeanette was united in marriage to Kenneth J. Wenzel on July 10, 1956 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, Minnesota. After high school, she attended Little Falls Teacher Training. She taught grades one through eight in Rural Schools from 1954-1956 and 1961-1970. She then worked as a paraprofessional at Lincoln Elementary in Little Falls from 1974-1997 at which time she retired.
Jeanette was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls and the Christian Women. Her favorite pastimes were reading, gardening, going for walks, spending time with and visiting with family and friends (she loved chatting on the phone) and helping and caring for others.
Jeanette is survived by her children, William (Irene) Wenzel of Little Falls, MN; Patty (Jeff) Thielen of Little Falls, MN; John (Theresa) Wenzel of Sartell, MN; Bob (Lynn) Wenzel of Randall, MN; eight grandchildren, Jason & Christopher Thielen, Joe, Anna, Jacob, Eddie, Joshua and Travis Wenzel; brother, James (Bonnie) Lampert of Little Falls, MN; nephew, Dustin (Sarah) Lampert and niece, Tiffany Lampert.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Kenneth J. Wenzel (November 8, 2006).
