LAWRENCE REED DIES AT HOSPITAL
Lawrence Reed died Thursday at Ball Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He retired from Ontario Corp in 1944. He was a former resident of Summitville.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Brooks; four daughters, Mrs. Oscar Reed, and Mrs. Lucille Romine, both of Muncie, Mrs. Mary Anderson, Chula Vista, Calif., and Mrs. Zeda Mae Collins, Chicago Heights, Ill.; a son, Joseph W., Fairmount; 21 grandchildren; two step daughters, Mrs. Martha Jones, Millington, Tenn., and Mrs. Francis Schweitzer, Fairmount; two stepsons, Carl Brooks, Sawyer, Mich., and Robert Brooks, Petersburg; a brother David E., Alexandria; and a sister, Mrs. Iva Vetor, Summitville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Parson Mortuary with Rev. Charles Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Hawk Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
