DENMARK - Mrs. Janie Brabham Sojourner, 58, died at her home early Thursday morning as the result of Bright's disease and chronic heart trouble, with which she had been afflicted for several years, the immediate cause of her death being an unexpected paralytic stroke.
Mrs. Sojourner was reared near Bamberg and came to Denmark upon her marriage to the late Edward B. Sojourner, approximately 30 years ago. She has made her home here since. She was a loyal member of the local Methodist church, and was also a member of Graham's chapter UDC.
She is survived by six sons, Jasper B. Sojourner, David P. Sojourner, J. Harold Sojourner, W. Richard Sojourner, Fletcher B. Sojourner and Robert E. Sojourner; one daughter, Mrs. J. T. Winn (Jane Edwardine), all of Denmark; her mother, Mrs. Julia Brabham of Bamberg; four sisters, Mrs. Asbury Kirkland of Bamberg, Mrs. Hooten Felder of Mullins, Mrs Inez Felder of Cope and Miss Hattie Sue Brabham of Bamberg.
Interment took place Friday afternoon in the local cemetery with the Rev. Welbourne Summers, her pastor, officiating.
