Merrill Lewis Pulley, 75, passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 8, 2009 at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah from complications due to Parkinson's Disease.


Born October 5, 1933 in American Fork, Utah, son of Frank Melvin and Emma Elvira Palmer Pulley.


He served four years in the US Army. Married Sharron Cox on August 14, 1959 in the Salt Lake Temple. Active member of the LDS Church. He was a retired teacher in the Granite School District where he received the "Teacher of the Year" award. He loved camping, fishing, photography and was a talented artist.


Survived by his wife, Sharron; children: Michael, Michelle (Paul) Wallace, Mark and MaLene; grandchildren: Alex, Marcus, Kenneth and Victoria; siblings: Afton Proctor and Dolores Nichols. Preceded in death by brothers: Elmo, Emmett, Melvin, Douglas, Kenneth and Richard; sisters: Ila Mae and Betty.


Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 12:00 noon at the Harman Ward Chapel, 4634 West Harman Drive (3700 South). A viewing will be held on Thursday at the Church from 9:30-11:45 a.m.
Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
