Pleak news: the late Solomon Scribner who died at his home in Macon last Saturday, 18 May 1901. A large number of relatives and friends were present to pay the last tribute to his memory. Internment took place at the Tolly Cemetery southeast.

School was closed on Monday at Allenboro on account of the death of Mrs. J.M. Reynolds' father, Mr. Scribner of Macon.

J.M. Reynolds was on Monday appointed administrator of the estate of Solomon Scribner. The estate consists of 160 acres of land in Shelby County and $700 of personal property.
