James Henry Morris, 62, of Mayfield died June 9 at his home. He was born Jan. 25, 1927 in Whitener the son of Bruce and Clem HASH Morris. He was a farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Dortha JONES Morris of the home; one son, Ronnie Morris of Mayfied; two daughters, Sharon McPherson of Fayetteville and Sandra Ownbey of Springdale; his mother, Clem Morris of Mayfield; two brothers, Oscar Morris and Chester Morris, both of Mayield; one sister, Nadine Edmondson of Mayfield; four grandchidren.
Services wil be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Buckeye Baptist Church with Rev. Earl D. Morris officiating. Burial will be in Buckeye Cemetery under direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Hunstvillle.
Pallbearers will be Harold McDuffie, Kenneth Christman, Goldman Barron, Lawrence Ferguson, Darrell Tisdale, and Lawrence Sharp.
