Franklinton, Washington Parish, LA—14 February 1935

Mrs. W.J. Alford, an aunt of the Richardson brothers here and sister of Mrs.
Leota Richardson and the Burch brothers in the Pisgah community, died last week
at the family residence in Bogalusa, after a long illness. She was a life long
resident of the parish and was taken back to her old home in the second ward for
burial from Bogue Chitto church, of which she was for many years an active
member. Rev. Hutson of Mt. Hermon, was assisted by Rev. Estes of Bogalusa in the
religious rites.

She is survived by her husband, W.J. Alford and a daughter, Miss Melissa Alford,
a teacher in the Bogalusa schools.
