Janet was born April 18, 1916, in Muscatine, Muscatine County, Iowa, the daughter of Clifford Hart and Eva Maud (Drury) Collins. This marriage ended in divorce and there were no children. Janet then married Robert Mathew Ryan in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1969. Janet died August 5, 1981, in Iowa City, Iowa.
