Bernell Norma Erickson, 62, of Rochester, formerly of Wisconsin, died Wednesday (May 18, 1994).
Bernell Norma Eitland was born Jan. 16, 1932. On Feb. 3, 1949, she married Elmer Erickson at Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church in Westby, Wis. She enjoyed writing poetry, playing the piano and Bible study. She was formerly of Esofea, Wis.
Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Nancy (Mrs. Dave) Smith of Champlin, Minn., Caryl (Mrs. Gerald) Petrowsky of Maple Grove, Minn., Rochelle (Mrs. Jon) Yingling of Minneapolis and Shelby Christianson of Rochester; four sons, Cal of La Crosse, Wis., and Roger, Bob and Tom, all of Rochester; 10 grandchildren; and four sisters, Darlene Ostrem, Mildred (Mrs. Leroy) Hinkel, Deloris (Mrs. Winsten) Olson and Charlotte Stalsberg. Three sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church in Westby, with the Rev. Lindell Quam officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Seland Funeral Chapel in Coon Valley, Wis., and an hour before the service Saturday at the church.
