ANNA JOYCE MORRIS-THORNTON, 59, of O'Brien died March 8, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Thornton was born in Marianne, FL on April 11, 1947, the daughter of Sam Morris and the former Annie Ruth Mayo.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years Willard D. Thornton; son Christopher Thornton (Jennifer); daughter Cyndi Thornton; grandchildren Joshua, Christal and Zachary Thornton; brother Duglas Morris (Marilyn).
Serving as pallbearers were David Ellis, Jim Thornton Jr., Mike Femoyer, Jimmy Bennett, Robert Morris and William Hutto.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Bryceville with pastors Larry Sweat and Joe Rountree officiating. Interment followed at South Prong Cemetery in Sanderson. Arrangements were under the direction of R.V. Prestwood L.F.D. in Baldwin.
