Julia Frances Goolsby Denson (nee Marler) passed away on January 30, 2009, in Dallas, Texas due to injuries sustained in a fall. Frances was born on April 17, 1930, in Lovelady, Texas and spent her childhood in Highlands. She moved to Pasadena in 1960 and most of her working career was at lst Pasadena State Bank and the Republic Bank in Houston. She and her dog Mitsi spent her Golden Years as part of a loving community on Shady Lake in Seabrook. Those who love her describe her as: full of "vim and vinegar", feisty, vibrant, sassy, fun-loving and engaging. She was a lady who did not hold back, never met a stranger, danced to the tune of her own music and loved her little dog Mitsi.

Proceeded in death by her beloved Mother, Louise Marler Blanton. Survived by her cherished daughter, Cathy Hicks Goolsby Douglas and her special cousins Carolyn and Allen Alford as well as many other cousins and friends.

The celebration of her life, service and interment will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home& Cemetery 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Road in Highlands, Texas on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 2:00 pm, officiated by Mark Alford.
