Lille Mae Hopkins Ball, 81, of Athens, formerly of Somerville, died Saturday.

Visitation at Peck Funeral Home.

Funeral services at Center Springs United Methodist Church, where Mrs. Ball was a member, with Pastor Sammy Brister officiating.

Burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Grandsons, nephews, and family friends serve as pallbearers.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert P. Hopkins and Otto C. Ball; and sons, Joe Fred Hopkins and Robert Wayne Hopkins.

Survivors include two daughters, Maxine Maples Kilgore and husband Fred of Madison, and Lynda Hopkins Ares and husband Mario of Huntsville; two sons, John Freeman Hopkins of Somerville, and Robbie Hopkins and wife Traci of Trinity; two stepsons, Kenneth Ball and wife Betty of Athens, and Larry Ball of Athens; daughter-in-law, Cindy Hopkins of Somerville; stepdaughter, Brenda Ferguson of Athens; three brothers, Billy Hammack of Somerville, W.C. Hammack of Albertville, and Lonnie Hammack of Decatur; two sisters, Sharon Campbell of Trinity, and Nita McClain of Somerville; nine grandchildren, Sherry Parrett, Holly Hopkins, Heather Lucas, Ashlee Hopkins, James Ryan Martinez, Ethan Hopkins, Jonathan Hopkins, Martina Ares, Alexandria Hopkins; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
