Last rites were held for Edd Branch of Olla at the Harmony Grove Cemetery, Gaars Mill, on December 21st. Mr. Branch died at a Columbia clinic on December 20th as a result of injuries received several weeks ago in a car wreck. The Rev. J. D. Kitchingham, pastor of the Olla Baptist Church, delivered the sermon. A large number of relatives and friends attended the last rites.

The deceased was an employee of the Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. He was reared in the Harmony Grove community and had been a member of the Harmony Grove church since 1916.

Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Ether Womack; four sons, three daughters, and aged mother, three brothers, three sisters, besides numerous other relatives.
