Lydia Strelsky was born September 2, 1915 in Milam County and was a daughter of Joseph Stanislaw and Josephine (Tkac) Stanislaw. She and Daniel B. Strelsky were married Jan. 5, 1939 in Cameron and to this union four children were born.
She made her home in Rockdale for past 53 years and was a member of the Mt Zion Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel B. Strelskey on May 24, 1971; her son, Daniel D. Strelsky on July 1, 2008; an infant daughter, Mary Gail Strelsky; two brothers, Joe and John Stanislaw; Sisters, Angeline Allen, Emily Heselmeyer, Marcella Stanislaw, Julie Brown.
Survivors include her son and daughter in law, James and Wacharaporn Strelsky of Rockdale; Daughter, Ann Wallis of Rockdale and Sister, Edna Lanier of Los Angeles, Calif.
Graveside Services were held Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale with Rev. Calvin Springer officiating.
