Charles Curtis Burch of Bedford, IN, died Saturday, July 18, 1998, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born November 5, 1921, in Lawrence County, IN, he was the son of James Clinton and Thula (Tucker) Burch. He married Mary E. Kern on November 5, 1942, and she survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Beverly Grey of Indianapolis and Pamela Burch of Bedford; two sons: James Burch of Bedford and Gregory Burch of Indianapolis; one brother, James Robert Burch of Mitchell, IN; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Susan Burch, in infancy.

A printer for the Times Mail paper in Bedford for twenty-five years, he retired in 1986. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving with the Army Airborne, and was a volunteer firefighter for twenty years with the Indian Creek Fire Department. He was of Protestant faith.

Services for Charles Burch will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 22nd, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with the Rev. Merla Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Fayetteville Church of Christ Cemetery.
