Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Joel Chambless Funeral Home in Nahunta with the Revs. E. H. Morgan and Marion Pittman officiating.
Burial followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Scotty Willis, Chad Hendrix, Josh Hendrix, Dean Hendrix, Joseph Trussell and Chris Wilson.
Visitation was from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Surviving are his mother Betty H. Hendrix of Nahunta; a daughter, Amy Harris of Nahunta; three sisters, Diane Willis (Julian) and Lulu Wilson (Corbett), both of Nahunta and Debbie Rodriguez (Caesar) of Hinesville; two brothers, Mike Hendrix of Nahunta and Ronnie Hendrix of Atkinson; and two grandchildren, Kirsten Harris and Kyle Ternest, both of Nahunta.
A native of Waycross, he was a lifelong resident of Brantley County. A member of Grace Baptist Church, Ricky was a friend to many and was always ready to help anyone who asked. He hunted, fished, and spent many hours in the company of childhood friends and his family
His parents were Ronald "Punk" Hendrix, Sr. and Ida Elizabeth "Betty" Herrin Hendrix.
