Stacey Marie Bowers, 34, died Jan. 19, 2004, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Highway 62 west of Bertrand.
Born Nov. 30, 1969, in Sikeston, daughter of Brad Bowers of St. Louis and the late Joan Marie Groves Bowers, she had lived in Bertrand her entire life and had been employed as payroll clerk at Kontek Industries in New Madrid. She was of the general Baptist belief.
In addition to her father, survivors include: two brothers, Cory Bowers and Travis Bowers; one sister, Darice Bowers Sawyer; and her maternal grandfather, W.C. "Dub" Groves.
Her maternal grandmother, Martha McClain Groves, also preceded her in death.
Visitation was held at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where services were scheduled. The Rev. Larry Kirby, pastor of the Abundant Grace Church at Bertrand, officiated.
Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
