Betty Mayton Hyman, 79, of 2415 Lake St., passed away unexpectedly March 5, 1997, at home.
She was born in Clayville, a daughter of the late Paul and Anna Drska Mayton and received her education in Clayville and Sauquoit Schools. On January 1, 1947, she was married to George "Guy" Hyman in Great Bend, PA. He passed away in 1966. At one time, Betty was employed by the Mele Mfg. Co. She was a member of the Clayville Congregational Church and Rebekah Lodge 429.
Betty is survived by two sisters and one brother-in-law, Anna Gasper, Christine (Tina) and Peter Hryb, and one brother, Samuel Mayton, all of Clayville; two granddaughters, Deonne Carey and Sherri Addington and several great grandchildren: great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter Esther Baker, in 1987, and one brother, Martin John Mayton, in 1989.
Funeral services are with J. Donald Smith Funeral Home, 11:00 Friday at the Clayville Congregational Church. Interment in Sauquoit Valley Cemetery. Donations in Betty's name may be made to the Clayville Congregational Church.
