FOLLY BEACH - Eleanor Viele Aimar, 62, a retired operating room nurse with St. Francis Xavier Hospital, died Friday at her residence. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the Catholic Church of St. John the Baptist in Charleston. Burial, directed by McAlister-Smith Downtown Chapel, will be in Holy Cross Cemetery on James Island.
Mrs. Aimar was born in Charleston, a daughter of Charles Viele and Eleanor Wallace Viele. She was a graduate of Bishop England High School and St. Francis Xavier School of Nursing. She was a member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses and Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, George W. Aimar Jr.; three sons, George W. Aimar III of Charleston and Charles B. Aimar and Paul E. Aimar, both of James Island; and seven grandchildren.
