Henry Matt Cobb of Bedford, IN, died Thursday, June 11, 1998, at Westview Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on March 22, 1924, in Knox County, KY, he was the son of Henry and Ollie (Childers) Cobb.

Surviving are two sisters: Marie Fields of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Maggie Jones of Bedford, IN; three brothers: Stanley and Leonard Cobb, both of Bedford, IN, and Claude Cobb of Mooresville, IN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Arthur, Perry, and Edward Cobb.

He was a retired mechanic for Indiana Limestone Co., and a World War II Army veteran, cited by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. He was of Protestant faith.

Services for Henry Cobb will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 15th, at The Day & Carter Mortuary with the Revs. Denny Cobb and David Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca, with graveside military rites accorded by members of the American Legion Gillen Post No. 33, Bedford.
