Lawrence E. Aldridge, 60 of WoodCraft Square, 800 W. Seventh St., died at 3:30 pm. Sunday in his home. He had been in poor health for the past year. Friends may call after 7 tonight in the Rupp Funeral Home where Monroe Council 1266, Knights of Columbus, will recite the rosary at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home and at 11 in St. John's Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Perkowski will oficiate and burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle, under the auspices of Monroe Post 1138. Veterans of Foreign wars. Born Nov 5, 1924, in Monroe, he was the son of Clarence and Mabel (Fix) Aldridge. He married June G. Carney Dec. 4, 1943, in St. Mary's Catholic Church. He had been employed by Webster-Duvall as an auto salesman for 15 years from 1960 to 1975. He was then employed as a salesman by Martin's Shoe House. He served in the Navy for three years. He was a member of Monroe Post, 1138, VFW; Monroe Council 1266, K of C, and St. John's Church, of which he also was a lay minister and member of its Ushers Club. He also was a former member of River Raisin General Assembly Fourth Degree, K of C. He had been educated at St. Mary's Elementary School. Surviving are his wife; 2 sons, Thomas M. of Plum City, Wis., and Daniel K. of Monroe; 2 daughters, Mrs. Osvaldo (Patricia) Diaz of Toledo and Mrs. Carroll (Lois) Freeman of Fort Collins, Colo; 3 brothers, James E. of Monroe and Elvin E. and Everett E., both of South Bend, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Theodore (Joan) Potter of W. Palm Beach, Fla., and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a twin son and daughter, Clarence and Mary Lou. Memorials may be made to the Michigan Cancer Foundation.
