Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan 15, 2009 at Iles Funeral homes-Grandview Park Chapel. Burial in the Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009 at the funeral home.
Mildred was born in Des Moines, IA., where she had lived her whole life.
She served in the US Army WAC during WW II.
Mildred worked as a Steno Clerk for the master mechanic at Rock Island Railroad for 40 years and had served as President of the railroad union. She retired in 1983.
Mildred was a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church for over 65 years.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ishmal Padgett and Lester Argo; and a son, James David Padgett.
