Viola Olivia "Ola" McKelvey Reed was born in Newton County, Missouri on June 12 1910 to Oscar Herbert McKelvey and Carrie Maude Moore McKelvey.
An older brother, Herbert Eugene McKelvey had been born stillborn in May of 1909. After Ola, came two more brothers: Ralph Edward McKelvey and Arthur Leo McKelvey.
Ola first married Theodore Eli Hawke on Dec 29 1928 in Newton Co., Missouri. Together they had 2 children: Wilda Imogene Hawke (Jessee) and Charles Herbert Hawke.
Ted Hawke died on Jan 10 1953 in Stark City, Missouri and their son died on March 15 1960 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
On June 28 1958, Ola remarried for the second time to Charles William "Bill" Reed. (In my records I have a Roger E. Reed, born in 1932 and that could be Bill's son by another marriage).
Ola Reed died in Mt Vernon, Missouri on March 22 1990. Bill Reed followed on Aug 6 1991.
Her daughter died Sept 17 2005.
Ola was survived by a brother at the time of her death, and five grandchildren along with 3 great grandchildren.
She is buried in the Newtonia IOOF Cemetery southeast of Monett Missouri.
