Daughter of David LOONSFOOT and Mary Ann LOCKWOOD. Theresa was listed on the 1922 Indian Census: Census of the Chippewa Indians of Mackinac Agency. Tribal affiliation was listed as Ojibwe.

Theresa 1st married Clarence E. HUFFORD. With Clarence, she had three children: Clarence Jr. (1933-2001), Dorothy (1934-1972), and Dolores (1936-1936). In 1937, she birthed a daughter who carried the HUFFORD surname, but who was not Clarence Hufford's child (DNA proof). Theresa 2nd married Ray SCHMIDT. She 3rd married Milton BATDORF; Theresa and Milton divorced and married each other again.

In 1982, Theresa moved from Cicero, Illinois, to Pinellas County, Florida. She was a hair dresser in a beauty salon and a Roman Catholic. She served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II and was a member of the American Legion WAC-WAF Post 919, Chicago. She volunteered at the VA Medical Center in Bay Pines, Florida.

Theresa had a grandchild who was known to only a few -- a child born to daughter Dorothy on 25-May-1953 in Chicago, Illinois, and who was placed for adoption with Mr. and Mrs. Donald A. WILDAUER of New Jersey.
