West Lafayette--Mrs. Roxie M. Lawrence, 74, of 319 W. Main St., West Lafayette, died at 5:30 p.m. thursday at Bethesda Hospital, Zanesville, after a short illness.

She was born Nov. 11, 1896 in Cambridge, a daughter of Elmer and Phoebe Burgess Armstrong. On June 16, 1920, she was married to Clarence B. Lawrence, who died Aug. 24. 1966. Mrs. Lawrence was a member of the Birds Run Baptist Church and the Birds Run Grange.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Leroy (Ruth) Merce, Guernsey Route 2; two sons,, Robert Craig Lawrence, London, O., and Rollen Lawrence, Drexel Hill, Pa.; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Russell A. Armstrong, Cambridge Route 5, and Howard Armstrong, Lake City, O. One daughter, son, one grandson, two brothers and two sisters are deceased.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Birds Run Baptist Church with the Rev. Henry Gravitt officiating. Burial will be in Birds Run Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Bonnell-O'Neill Funeral Home in West Lafayette from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
