The entire community was saddened last Monday afternoon
when God in his great mercies saw fit to call Mr. S.G.
Miller, home out of all his suffering and agony.
He was a prominent citizen and farmer of Seminole County.
He was 63 years old at the time of his death.
He was united in marriage in 1901, to Miss Lina Shires and to this union was born five children. She departed this life on 1915. Later he was married to Mrs Mittie Calhoun
and to this union was born three children.
He was a devoted father and husband.
He was a faithful member of the Primitive Baptist Church for 21 years, his membership being at Olive Grove Church.
He was always prompt to fill his place in church.
He has been in ill health for the past year but was confined only for the last four weeks. Despite his suffering and weakness he tried to sing last Friday morning, but was to weak to complete his song.
Besides his broken-hearted wife, he leaves to mourn his death, eight children as follows.
Mrs T.S. Herring, Miss Rosa Miller, Mrs Thomas Poitivient,
Mr Calvin Miller, Mrs Floyd Golden, Mr Frank Miller, Mrs
H.H. Williams, Mr Charlie Miller, all of this county.
Four brothers, Greene Miller, of Colquitt,Ga; D.H. Miller, Archie Miller and C.D. Miller all of this county, also survive.
Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon
at Enterprise Church, interment being in Enterprise Cemetery.
Rev. Blackshear, Primitive Baptist and Rev. Williams, Free Will Baptist conducted the ceremony.
Pall bearers were: W.M. Miller, W.H. Miller, Hosia Miller,
Vester Miller, H.H. Miller and Floyd Golden.
Smith and Evans funeral directors were in charge.
