Marie M. Hackman, 97, of Cedar Haven, formerly of Poplar Terrace, Lebanon, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009, in the Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born December 26, 1911, in Krumstown, daughter of the late John and Mamie Firestone Shanaman. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd. She was a retired machine operator for WarnerLambert Co., Lititz. Surviving are son Ernest W. Boehler Jr., companion of Ruth of Lebanon; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law Marie Boehler of Lebanon and Lynn Boehler of Hummelstown. She was preceded in death by husbands Ernest W. Boehler and Floyd Hackman; daughter Jean Boehler; sons Richard Boehler, Ronald Boehler, and John Boehler; and brother Earl Shanaman. Viewing is scheduled for Monday, February 2, 2009, from 9-11 a.m. at Christman's Funeral Home Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, followed by services at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Richland Cemetery.
