Ervin "Bull" King, 67 (b. 21 Dec 1934), of the Lulaton Community, died Monday evening (21 Oct 2002) at his residence after a long illness.

The Brantley County native lived in Waycross for a number of years before returning to his home in Brantley County. He had served in the Army and was an avid hunter. He attended the Lulaton Baptist Church, and was past president of the Union at Scapa Dryers in Waycross, also a member of the Trophy Ridge Hunting Club.

Mr. King was the son of the late Zibe William King and Alice Roberson King, and was preceded in death by five brothers, David, Floyd, Leroy, Parnell and Jessie King, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of eight years, Nancy Lowe King of Lulaton; a daughter, Tina Teston of Patterson; a son, Tony E King (Belinda) of Waycross; six grandchildren, Ashley Yvonne King, Michelle King and Logan Hickson, all of Nahunta, Keena Teston of Offerman, Brad Teston and Tony M. King, all of Waycross; a step-grandson, Benjamin Johns, of Nahunta; eight sisters, Lorena Griffin and Erma Grace Crews of Waycross, Loretta Waldon, Lois Corbett and Marie Petty (Eddie), all of Manor, Willene Proctor of Forest Park; Winnie Johnson (Donald) of Yulee, FL, and Mary Alice Clubb (Cornell) of Hortense; five brothers Mack King (Bobbie)and Joseph Edward King of Nahunta and Melvin King (Laura) of Hoboken; a mother-in-law, Pearl Keaton, of Lacon, AL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Dotty Lowe of Fayetteville, TN, Joe and Nancy Lowe of Royal Palm Beach, FL, and Donna Porcelain of Lacon, AL; also several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from the Lulaton Baptist Church with the Rev. Monroe Gill and the Rev. Tony Clubb officiating.

Interment followed in the New Hope Cemetery in the Hickox Community.

Pallbearers were Barney and Melvin King, Carl Hickson, Jimmie Summer, Ray D. and David Smith, Zibe King, Jr. and Jackson O'Quinn.

Honorary pallbearers were all of his hunting buddies, the Hospice of Satilla, Jimmie Ham and George and Edie Carpenter.

Chambless-Frye Funeral Home of Nahunta was in charge of arrangements.
