DALLAS, Ray W.

Passed away in Sacramento on March 21, 2004. Ray was born March 12, 1921 in Caprock, N.M. to Harry and Cora Dallas. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Wanda of 61 years and infant daughter, Tretha. Ray is survived by his sons Arnold and Darwin Dallas, daughter-in-law Wanda, 5 grandchildren Todd (Michal), Tretha (Gary), Michael (Michele), Dirk and Dustin, and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 8 brothers and sisters, sisters and brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him greatly. Ray served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WW II. Ray was a hard working mechanic for 20 years at J.A. Thompson in L.A. He later retired from Los Rios College School District as a mechanic. He was a long-time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where he faithfully served as a deacon for over 25 years. Friends are welcome for visitation Friday, March 26th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd. and Saturday, March 27th, 2004 for Graveside Services at 10 a.m. at Mount Vernon Cemetery, 8201 Greenback Lane, with Memorial Services to follow at 12 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 9350 Kiefer Blvd. Reception to follow. Remembrances may be made to The Leukemia Society.
