She was born Jan. 22, 1912, at Cole Camp, Mo., the daughter of August Ernst and Josephine Maria Gerlt Bauer. She lived north of Melvern many years before she moved to Osage City in 1974.
Mrs. Hansen was a life member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Vassar. She married Henry Albert Hansen on Oct. 18, 1936. He died Feb. 4, 1981.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Henry Hansen, Toronto, and Ray A. Hansen, Hays; a daughter, Judy C. Snyder, Polk City, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Vassar.
Burial will be at Mount Zion Cemetery at Vassar.
Mrs. Hansen will lie in state from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the Crable Funeral Chapel in Osage City where relatives and friends will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Contributions may be made to the Nora C. Hansen Memorial Fund to be designated later and sent in care of the funeral chapel.
