Felix Orville Read, 87, a retired electrical contractor and WWII Navy veteran, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2009, at Clarewood House Extended Care Center.
Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Ave., Houston, TX. Rev. Raymond Robbins will officiate.
Felix Orville Read, the son of James W. and Myrtle M. Read, was born in Houston, Texas, on February 3, 1921.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lois C. Read, his brother, Bernard W. Read, and his sisters, Charlotte Irene Meyers, Myrtle Eunice Gostecnik and Ester Iona Imhof.
Survivors: A number of nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
