Congressman. A native of Wales, he immigrated to the United States with his parents at the age of 2. After studying medicine, he graduated from the Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia in 1880. He establised a practice in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania. He was elected as a Republican from Pennsylvania to Congress, and served a single term, from 1905 to 1907. Defeated for reelection, he returned to his medical practice in Mount Carmel.
