Sara Margaret Tomlinson Goodman, 71, of Benton, died February 1, 2009 at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant. She was born July 2, 1937 to the late M.H. Tomlinson and Margaret Alberta Feild Tomlinson in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was a homemaker, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Benton.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Goodman of Benton; two sons, Bryan Goodman (Kim) of Chandler, Arizona, and Bob Goodman (Nan) of Benton; four daughters, Vicki Caldwell (Glenn) of Lonsdale, Kerry Scott (Mike) of Mansfield, Texas, Elizabeth Myers (Jeff) of New Braunfels, Texas, and Jenny Rodgers (Buddy) of Quenemo, Kansas; sister, Frances Sowle (John) of North Little Rock; sixteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by son, David Richards, daughter, Susan Taylor Berk, and grandson, Blake Allen Taylor.
The family will receive friends at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home, (501) 315-4047, Tuesday, February 3, 2009 from 6-8 PM. Services will be Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 10 AM at the Roller-Ballard Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Don "Sonny" Bowers, Travis Nelson, Bob Maness, Brandon Mitchell, Bradley Myers, and Randy Caldwell.
