She was born in Rosie, Arkansas on Wednesday, January 19, 1927 and was the daughter of Monroe and Lillian (Inman) Hargrove. She worked for Arkansas Poultry, Batesville Manufacturing and was a homemaker. Mae Nell was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her son, Aaron Mitchell Clark of Batesville; two daughters: Henrietta Turner and Teresa Mae Stephens both of Batesville; six grandchildren: Karen Gamble of Jonesboro, Chris Stephens of Clinton, Debbie Hogland of Cullman, Alabama, Rocky Turner of Charlotte, Ashton Clark and Joshua Clark both of Batesville; a brother, Medford Hargrove of Newport; a sister, Mablene Lewis of Plato, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clinton Clark, two brothers: M. J. Hargrove and Marcus Dean Hargrove; and two sisters: Majesty Snellgrove and Maurine Cartwright.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at the Roller-Crouch Chapel with Keith Alexander officiating.
Burial will follow the services at Kyler Cemetery in Southside under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2009 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be James Head, J. B. Presley, Jeremy Fitzgerald, Adam Harris, Jason Hogland, and Noal Stanford. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Greg Neaville, Dr. Seth Barnes, Bruce Barber and Jerry Clark.
