G.E. Breland Succumbs in Alpaugh

George Edgar Breland, 64, died Sunday morning at his home in Alpaugh following a long illness.
Mr. Breland was born in McClain, Miss. and came to the Alpaugh area two years ago from Oxnard. He had been engaged in auto body work and for many years owned his own shop.
Survivors include his widow, Eula Breland of Alpaugh, four sons, Burford and Adrew of Seattle, Wash., James of Porterville, and Richard Breland of Oxnard; a daughter, Vallie Tritle of Ventura; a brother, Eugene Breland in Mississippi; four sisters, Jane Slay, Reba Rouse, and Tometrice Mizell, all in Mississippi; and Clara Dunham of Alabama; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at the Conrad and Comer mortuary in Oxnard. The local arrangements are under the direction of the Myers chapel.
