Bienert, 89, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at Kindred Hospital in Ontario, Calif.
He was born May 8, 1918, in Chaffee, son of George Henry and Emma Enderle Bienert.
Bienert was a graduate of Chaffee High School. He retired as a lieutenant colonel with the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Elks Lodge, Optimist Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Disabled American Veterans.
Mrs. Bienert, 76, died Saturday, June 26, 1999, at her home.
She was born March 2, 1923, in Waco, Texas, daughter of Joseph and Mamie Batis.
Mr. and Mrs. Bienert were married more than 54 years. They were members of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Apple Valley.
They are survived by three sons, George Bienert of Peachtree City, Ga., John Bienert of Pocatello, Idaho, Anthony Bienert of Oak Hills, Calif.; a daughter, Virginia Webb of Columbia, S.C.; and five grandchildren.
He is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Varnado of Gilmer, Texas.
