Dakota, Minn. Lifelong farmer and logger, Wilmer Gile, 87, Dakota Rt 1, died Saturday, May 15, 1982 in Community Memorial Hospital, Winona.
He was born Jan. 23, 1895 in New Hartford Township, Winona County, to Dr. Ogden F. and Martha Olson Gile.
On April 23, 1913, he married Blanche Grenow.
Survivors include is wife, seven sons: The Rev. Wane Gile, Phoenix, Ariz., Wilford and Ephraim Gile, Minneapolis, Wilmer Gile Jr., Lake City, Colo, Charles Gile, Kansas City, Mo., Dale Gile, San Diego, Calif., and Devan Gile, St. Paul; four grand children and 43 great grandchildren, a daughter, three brothers and two sisters have died.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today in Nelson Funeral Home, La Crescent. with son, Rev. Wayne Gile officiating. Burial will be in Bush Cemetery.
