She was born March 15, 1959, in Greenfield, the daughter of Larry J. and Sonja M. Girt Turner. She was raised and attended school in Hancock County. She was a former employee of the U.S. Shoe factory in Vevay and had lived in the Patriot community for the past 25 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and was a fan of Elvis.
She is survived by her husband, Robert D. Henderson, whom she married June 2, 1990; one son, David Michael Pope of Dillsboro; one brother, Mark S. Turner of Indianapolis; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her maternal grandparents, Elmer and Frances Welter Girt; and her paternal grandparents, Ralph David and Ethel Mae Krall Turner.
The funeral was at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial was in Vevay Cemetery.
