Funeral services were held for Kathleen Tanner Emerson, 85, of Lucedale, on Sunday, September 21, 2003, at 3:00 p.m. from the Movella Missionary Baptist Church.

A native of George County and a resident of Glen Oaks Nursing Home; she was a former school bus driver, a nurse's aide, and a charter member of the Movella Missionary Baptist Church. She died Friday, September 19, 2003.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Ivey Emerson.

She is survived by one son, Carley Gilbert (Freda) Emerson of Moss Point; two daughters, Janice Emerson Mason of Lucedale and Patsy (Bob) Emerson Broadway of Mobile, Ala.; one step-daughter, Myrtle (Manuel) Emerson Carter of Big Point; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and one sister Josephine Tanner Atwell of Ocean Springs.

Interment was in the Church (Movella Baptist Church) Cemetery with Bro. Robbie Howard and Bro. Don Brown officiating the services.
