Ted was in the 10th Mountain Division, Special Ops for the Army based out of Colorado for WW II. During the War, Ted received the Silver Star as a medic. He also received the Bronze Star for going above and beyond as a medic. After the war, he and Martha had an only son, John. John followed in his dad's footsteps and joined the Army during Vietnam while only in 10th grade. John was a Helicopter Mechanic and his chopper was named Susie. When not a mechanic, he was a door gunner. The family lived thruout the mountains in Colorado as Ted became a miner and a logger. Ted died on Mothers Day in 1982, which became a very sad day (Mothers Day) for Martha. Martha moved in with John and family in California in 1993, where she stayed until passing in 2008. He and the love of his live are together once again.
