"Mrs. Katherine Possons [sic] Summoned By Death

Mrs. Katherine B. Possons, 82, widow of the late George B. Possons and mother of Paul B. Possons, with whom she made her home at a ranch near Sanger, died today in a Fresno hospital.

She is survived by another son, Philip F. Possons of Fresno; four brothers, A. H. and Cephas Buttles of Fresno and A.M. and L. R. Buttles of Milwaukee; and four sisters, Mrs. Ida Post and Mrs. Julia B. Possons of Fresno, Mrs. Frank Perlin of Boston and Mrs. William Godfrey of Milwaukee. She was the aunt of Milton B. Possons, Fresno County auditor.

She was born in Wisconsin and had lived in Fresno County for twenty-nine years.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday at the chapel of J. N. Lisle and will be followed by burial in Mountain View Cemetery." END [Note: the scan available on the Internet is not very clear, so some of the information and spellings above might not be correct. Please double check.]

POSSONS [sic] - In Fresno, December 8th, 1933, Katherine Possons, 82 years, a native of Wisconsin, beloved mother of Paul B. Possons of Sanger and Philip F. Possons of Fresno; sister of A. H. and Cephas Buttles of Fresno, Mrs. Ida B. Post, Mrs. Julia B. Possons of Fresno, Mrs. Frank Perrin of Boston, Mrs. Wm. Godfrey, A.M. and L. S. Buttles of Milwaukee. Seven grandchildren also survive. Friends are invited to attend the funeral services to be held in the chapel of the Lisle Funeral Home, L Street at Calaveras, Monday morning, December 11th, 1933, at 10:30 o'clock, Rev. Norman B. Henderson officiating. Interment Mountain View Cemetery. (Note: Members of the Ladies' Commandery Club will meet at the parlor at 10 A.M. so we may attend the service in a body. Mrs. E. R. Casner."
