PLAIN — Mrs. Uriah T. Prouty, 84, rural Plain, died at home Saturday after a long illness.
She was a lifelong Sauk county resident and was the widow of a former Richland Center garage owner and area farmer. In recent years she had lived with a daughter, Mrs. E. J. Crowley, in rural Plain.
With her late husband, Mrs. Prouty observed their golden wedding anniversary in June 1947.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Sandusky Evangelical United Brethren Church. Friends may call at the Crowley home after 3 p.m. today.
Surviving besides Mrs. Crowley are two daughters, Mrs. David Landphier, Richland Center; and Mrs. Carl Dahnke, Milwaukee; a sister, Mrs. Clayton Crowley, Hillpoint; seven grandchildren; andnine great-grandchildren.
