Bobbie Jean was a lifelong member of Brownsdale Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
She worked at Monsanto and after retiring she worked at Jay Western Auto and the Jay 5 & 10 along with being a devoted housewife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Norine Dunsford; husband, George W. Ivey Jr.; sister, Audrey Faye Nelson and granddaughters, Lily and Bailey Foster.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly (Paul) Dykes and Shannon (Robbie) Foster; two special granddaughters, Molly Dykes and Malarie Foster; one great-granddaughter, Peyton Jean Dykes, who was her sunshine; two sisters, Catherine (Polly) Griswold and Stephanie (Ronnie) Odom; one brother, Robert Earl (Linda) Dunsford and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Brownsdale Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Leake and Rev. Bobby Carnley officiating services. Burial will follow at Cora Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Jay Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Sean Dunsford, Seth Dunsford, Ryan Lowry, Jacob Lowry, Brandon Chambless, Tyler odom, Jeff Hawthorne, and Sam Cleaver.
Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Dunsford, Frank Lowry, Chris Chambless, Jimmie Polk, Sam Lowry, Curt Lowry, Wayne Miller, Mike Johns, Hoover Harris and her Brownsdale Baptist Church Sunday School Class.
The family would like to express great appreciation to the numerous friends and families for their prayers and concerns during our time of need. Your kindness, consideration and compassion will be remembered forever.
