Lois Evelyn Tompkins Lamont was born the seventh child of Gilbert G. and Millie B. Conrad Tompkins on May 7, 1942 at Twelve Mile Community, Smith County, (NOTE:Downs is in Osborne County) owns. She departed this life on April 17, 1995 in Kensington at the age of 52.
...On June 14, 1958 she married Dale W. Kinyon. To this union four children were born: Anita Kay, Kimberly Annette, Rodney Lee and Daniel Ray. On May 11, 1976 Lois married Harvey D. Standley. Harvey passed away Dec. 26, 1979.
...On Aug. 8, 1981 she married Dennis R. Lamont. Survivors include her husband, Dennis R. Lamont; children: Kimberly Levin and husband John, Tucson, Ariz.; Rodney Kinyon and wife Cindy, Phillipsburg; Daniel Kinyon and wife Toni, Seymour, Texas; grandchildren: Andrea, Lindsay and Alex Levin, Tucson, Ariz.; Jamey and Kaci Kinyon, Phillipsburg; and Brianna, Kayla and Tiffany Kinyon, Seymour, Texas; brothers: Paul Tompkins and wife Audrey, Prairie View; Dale Tompkins and wife Faye, Bowling Green, Ky.; Raymond Tompkins and wife Sandy, Springdale, Ark.; sister Doris Hay, Smith Center; sister-in-law's Bernita Tompkins, Smith Center and Ginny Blake, Broken Arrow, Okla.; father and mother-in-law Cecil and Carmen Lamont, Kensington and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
...Funeral services were held Thursday, April 20 at 2 p.m. in Simmons Chapel, Kensington, with Bishop Gene Carter officiating. Amber Tompkins, soloist sang "O My Father;" Eve and April Grabner sang "How Great Thou Art;" and Tyler, Grant and Spencer Tompkins sang "Family's Can Be Together Forever" accompanied by Isabelle Krouse.
