Irving Lynn (Babe) Kilby, 79, died at his winter home in Wikieup, Ariz., Feb. 20, 2008. He was born in Centralia, Wash. and lived in Baker, where he was in junior high school. He then moved to Camp Verde, Ariz. where he attended high school.

He spent four years in the Air Force, stationed in Texas; Tacoma, Wash.; and Colorado Spring, Colo.

He married Helen Mundine while on furlough from Texas, before going to Tacoma. They were married for almost 57 years, making their home in various locations, including the Ritter area for over 20 years.

They had eight children, Lynne Cutright, Chris Kilby, Sandy Kassien, David Kilby, Kelly Kilby, Robin Morris, Pat Kilby and Casey Kilby; 32 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008, at St. Katherine Catholic Church in Ritter, three miles north of Ritter Junction on Highway 395.
