VINCENNES - Garnett L. Hazelman, 87, passed away at 2 :30 a.m. Saturday at her residence. She was born on September 29, 1920, in Knox County to Ival and Ruth (Jordan) Earley.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. Garnett and her sister were known as the Earley Sisters and sang on radio stations WAOV in Vincennes and WLS in Chicago. She enjoyed gardening and country western music. She was honorary president of the Jordan Society.
Garnett is survived by one son, Doug Hazelman and his wife Nancy of Vincennes; one sister, Ruby Houck of Vincennes; two granddaughters, Megan Faulkner and Lindsay Hazelman, both of Charlotte, N.C.; one great-granddaughter, Molly Piper Faulkner; a nephew, Brad Oexmann and his family Cinda, Jonathan and Katelyn; a niece, Debbie Elmore and her family Joe Elmore, Aryn White and Lacey White; and her special friend and companion, Poohdog. The family would like to give special thanks to Pauline Christian for her support and contributions.
Garnett was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Hazelman, who passed away in 1984.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Georg Karl officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
