After her spouse Jacob died in 1790 she moved to West Providence Twp., Bedford Co. Pa., (now Snake Spring Twp.,) taking her three younger children (George, Daniel and William) with her. She remained there and died about 1813.

Margaret's grave site is at the Snyder/Ritchey Cemetery (now known as Ritchey Cemetery) located on the top of the hill behind the Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren north of Everett in Snake Spring Twp., Bedford Co., Pa. This township was formerly a part of Providence Twp., Bedford Co., Pa. at the time of her death. Her death date is not certain but Margaret is listed as paying taxes in Bedford Co., Pa. in 1812 and her estate is shown as being taxed in 1813 leading to the conclusion that she probably died in 1813.
