Margaret was born the daughter of John & Adelheidt "Ella" Ramert on a farm in Graham Lakes Township near Kinbrae. She was baptized & confirmed in St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Fulda. She made her home with her parents until November 6, 1917, when she was united in marriage to Guido Appel. Since their marriage, they have been making their home on the farm 5 miles east of Fulda.

Margaret had been suffereing from kidney trouble for sometime, but feeling unusually well the past six weeks her death came as a shock to people of this vicinity. Becoming critically ill Thursday she was taken to the Clinic Hospital at Worthington, where she underwent an operation Sunday, and while neither care, labor, or expense was spared, her end came peacefully. A real home builder, a loving mother, a kind neighbor and a true Christian worker, Margaret has made countless friends who sadly grieve her sudden death.

Guido & Margaret were the parents of three children, one son, Darrell, preceeded his mother in death. Leon, six years old, and Virginia Marie, 5 months old, remain with their father to mourn the loss of a loving wife and mother. Besides her husband and two children, Margaret leaves to mourn her untimely death her parents, four brothers, John, Fritz, Alex and Jimmie; and four sisters; Minnie, Florence, Evelyn, and Elizabeth.

Rev. Father Jaegen was assisted at the funeral services by Rev. Father Gregoire of Dundee, and Rev. Father O'Conner of Worthington.

Funeral services were held at the house prior to the church service & at St. Gabriel Catholic Church of Fulda. Father Jaegen, Father O'Connor of Worthington and Father Gregoire of Dundee officiated at the services.

NOTE: Husband, Guido, is buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sleepy Eye, MN with his 2nd wife, Freida.
